"Of the 700 physicians responding to [an internet survey](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PIIqBumg6106S_XR0NmxRy6rFuaRebj9/view) by the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS), [nearly 60 percent](https://aaps.wufoo.com/reports/z1e8wyr31awx6wf/) said they were not “fully vaccinated” against COVID. This contrasts with the [claim by the American Medical Association](https://www.ama-assn.org/press-center/press-releases/ama-survey-shows-over-96-doctors-fully-vaccinated-against-covid-19?&utm_source=BulletinHealthCare&utm_medium=email&utm_term=061421&utm_content=NON-MEMBER&utm_campaign=article_alert-morning_rounds_daily&utm_uid=2256120&utm_effort=MRNRD0) that 96 percent of practicing physicians are fully vaccinated. This was [based on 300 respondents](https://www.ama-assn.org/system/files/2021-06/physician-vaccination-study-topline-report.pdf?&utm_source=BulletinHealthCare&utm_medium=email&utm_term=061421&utm_content=NON-MEMBER&utm_campaign=article_alert-morning_rounds_daily&utm_uid=2256120&utm_effort=MRNRD0).

Neither survey represents a random sample of all American physicians, but the AAPS survey shows that physician support for the mass injection campaign is far from unanimous.

“ _It is wrong to call a person who declines a shot an ‘anti-vaxxer,’_ ” states AAPS executive director Jane Orient, M.D. “ _Virtually no physicians are ‘anti-antibiotics’ or ‘anti-surgery,’ whereas all are opposed to treatments that they think are unnecessary, more likely to harm than to benefit an individual patient, or inadequately tested._ ”

The AAPS survey also showed that 54 percent of physician respondents were aware of patients suffering a “ _significant adverse reaction._ ” Of the unvaccinated physicians, [80 percent said “I believe risk of shots exceeds risk of disease](https://aaps.wufoo.com/reports/z7ek1br193t0zj/),” and 30 percent said “ _I already had COVID_".

[Other reasons for declining the shot](https://aaps.wufoo.com/reports/zizibhq0g0fl7o/) included unknown long-term effects, use of aborted fetal tissue, “ _it’s experimental,_ ” availability of effective early treatment, and reports of deaths and blood clots.

Of 560 practicing physicians, [56 percent said they offered early treatment](https://aaps.wufoo.com/reports/zdilx8v1lx5lun/) for COVID.

Non-physicians were also invited to participate in the survey. Of some 5,300 total participants, [2,548 volunteered comments](https://aaps.wufoo.com/reports/zt3g8qz1rtzpzf/) about associated adverse effects of which they were aware. These included death, amputation, paralysis, stillbirth, menstrual irregularities, blindness, seizures, and heart issues.

“ _Causality is not proven. However, many of these episodes might have resulted in a huge product liability or malpractice award if they had occurred after a new drug,_ ” stated Dr. Orient. “ _Purveyors of these COVID products are protected against lawsuits_".
